Brandy vinegar is neutral in taste is obtained by fermenting brandy. During the fermentation process the alcohol in the brandy is converted into acetic acid. Brandy is not the only source for making vinegar. Depending on the type of alcoholic beverage used as a base, a different type of vinegar is created. Rice wine vinegar, wine vinegar, but you could also make whiskey vinegar or rum vinegar in the same way.
