Details

Cacao Nibs Organic are raw pieces of crushed cacao beans with a naturally bitter yet delicious taste. These cocoa-based nibs are a healthier alternative to chocolate chips and add crunch and flavor to sweet or savory recipes.

What are Cacao Nibs Organic?

Cacao nibs are made by fermenting cacao beans and breaking them into small pieces without roasting. Raw nibs are the purest form of chocolate, free from added sugar or milk. Compared to roasted cacao nibs, raw varieties are more bitter and less sweet but known for their complex flavour profile.

Nutrients and Composition

Organic Cacao Nibs provide some additional health benefits on top of being a versatile ingredient. They are a significant source of fiber, with over 15% RI per serving. They also contain protein and healthy fats, plus small amounts of minerals and vitamins. They are rich in flavonoids with antioxidant properties, making them valued in the health food sector.

Uses and Applications

Cacao nibs fit easily into smoothies, porridge, granola, cereals, or baked goods such as muffins. They can replace chocolate chips in recipes or add depth to savory dishes. Crushed cacao beans combine naturally with peanuts, sesame seeds, and other seeds in trail mixes.

Examples of use:

  • Blend into a smoothie or sprinkle on porridge

  • Add cacao nibs to muffins or baking recipes

  • Mix with nuts and seeds for granola or cereals

  • Enhance flavor in savory recipes

Cacao Nibs vs Cocoa Nibs

Cacao nibs are usually raw and minimally processed, while cocoa nibs mostly refer to roasted nibs with a softer flavor. Both are small pieces of cacao beans, free from sugar, and versatile in recipes.

Love These Nibs
I find this a good product at a good price. I add these to my muffins, banana and pumpkin bread recipes, and to my morning kefir, for the added Mg, Mn, and a small bit of caffeine. The bag does not get damaged with repeated opening and closing during use.

Lost does not dissolve well.
We bought the chocolate nibs under the assumption that they would be suitable for, for example, hot chocolate, but unfortunately, that is not the case. They do not dissolve in water and are therefore not suitable for beverages. It's a shame, but delivery was quick!

Response from Vehgroshop: Thank you for the review! Cocoa nibs are pieces of broken cocoa beans that have not been altered or added to, which is why they are not suitable for drinks since the nibs do not dissolve. You could still use them in yogurt or in baked goods.
