Origin and use

This natural rock salt was formed more than 200 million years ago by the drying out of the Zechstein Sea. This sea was a shallow inland sea that stretched across northwestern Europe. Today, the salt is stored 400 to 750 metres under the ground and contains numerous minerals and bound iodine. It is a natural product that is only ground and sieved.

This product has a very pleasant salty taste and it is very suitable for use on all kinds of dishes.

• 98.4% NaCI.
• 0.02% Mg.
• 0.20% Ca.
• 0.1% K.
