Origin Cane Sugar
Our raw cane sugar is made from sugar cane and is a 100% natural raw sugar from Colombia. There are various types of cane sugar with different colours such as white cane sugar and dark brown cane sugar. The colour of cane sugar depends on the amount of molasses added.
Cane sugar belonged to the expensive and rare spices in the Middle Ages. The raw sugar was transported to Western Europe in the form of sugar loaves to be refined in sugar bakeries.
Production Process Raw Cane Sugar
Cane sugar is made from the juice of the sugar cane. This juice is boiled, crystallized, ground into sugar and then sieved. The raw cane sugar is not refined. Our sugar cane is grown according to strict EU regulations and processed into sugar. A slight content of molasses gives this sugar cane a creamy/beige appearance.
Use of Raw Cane Sugar
This raw cane sugar has a slightly malty and pleasant sweetness. It is widely used as a substitute for beet sugar. In addition, it is a tasty addition in various sweet dishes and drinks.
